NOKA stay MIZUE is a whole two-story house in Edogawa, Tokyo, that we own and run ourselves.

It's 44 m² (about 470 sq ft), sleeps up to six, and is an eight-minute level walk from Mizue Station – 20 minutes to Akihabara, 30 to Ginza, Ueno, and Tokyo Station, 40 to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Haneda Airport.

You can book it two different ways, and which one you want depends entirely on how long you're staying.

What is NOKA stay MIZUE?

It's a whole house — not an apartment, and not a room inside one. Two stories, 44 m² (about 470sq ft), and every part of it is yours for the length of your stay. No shared entrance, noneighbor through the wall, nobody at a front desk.

Inside, traditional wood and tatami — woven straw flooring — meet a modern interior. There'sone bedroom with three beds, a bathroom with a deep soaking tub, a separate toilet in its ownroom, and living space downstairs.

The house was built in [TBC] and reopened at the end of 2025 after we renovated it. We own andrun it ourselves.

How many people does it actually sleep?

Six is the maximum, and for a few nights six genuinely works — traditional Japanese futonmattresses come out of the closet, and everyone's out of the house all day anyway.

For a stay of a month or more, we'd suggest four. There's one bedroom and one bathroom across44 m², and what feels fine for a long weekend feels different in week three.

If there are six of you and you want a month, say so on the call. That's exactly the situationwhere we go find a bigger house.

Where is it, and how long does it take to getanywhere?

Mizue Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, eight minutes on foot, on level ground the whole way.No hills and no long flights of stairs — which matters more than you'd expect when you'repushing a suitcase or a stroller.

The address is [TBC: street address], Edogawa-ku, Tokyo [TBC: postcode].

What's inside the house?

Everything is already turned on.

Electricity, water, gas, and Wi-Fi work from the moment you walk in.

Nothing to apply for, nothing to arrange in Japanese.

The kitchen is a real kitchen.

Three gas burners and a wide counter, with the pots, pans, and plates you need. On a month-longstay, this is the single thing that changes your daily cost the most.

Laundry.

A washing machine, inside the house, yours alone. There's no dryer — like most homes in Japan, laundry is hung to dry.

Somewhere to work.

A dedicated workspace — not a dining table you clear twice a day

The bathroom, and a separate toilet.

A deep soaking tub, with shampoo and conditioner. The toilet is in its own room, with a bidetseat (a washlet).

And the rest.

Smart TV · air conditioning · furniture, bedding, and linen · 34 amenities listed on Airbnb inall.

Coming with a baby?

There's a crib, a high chair, and a bottle sterilizer already in the house. Nothing to ship, buy, or rent.

One thing you should know:

There are security cameras outside, covering the exterior, the path to the door, and theentrance. There are none inside the house.

What's the neighborhood like?

Quiet and residential. A large drugstore that also carries food is one minute away — the kindthat has diapers, medicine, and instant noodles at 11 p.m.

At the station there's a supermarket, a Don Quijote (a large discount store, open late),restaurants, and karaoke. Harue-no-Mori Park is a 10-minute walk away. Parking nearby runsunder JPY 1,000 for 24 hours.

This isn't central Tokyo, and that's the point. You get a whole house for what a smallapartment costs in the center, and Ginza is only 30 minutes away.

What do guests say?

Rather than pick out the nice ones ourselves, we show our Google reviews exactly as they comein. What you see below is whatever guests have written most recently — good and bad.

What is NOKA stay?

NOKA comes from the Japanese no ka (の家). It means "the house of" — the house of a family, thehouse of a name. These were ordinary houses where ordinary families in Tokyo lived. For as longas you're here, this one is yours.

NOKA stay is the short-stay side. Whole houses, booked by the night, like this one on Airbnband Booking.com.

NOKA stay months is for people staying a month or more. The same houses, plus the ones we findfor you, plus a person who meets you at the airport and stays reachable in your language untilthe day you leave.

Both are operated by Arinova Inc., based in Ginza, Tokyo. We own homes here and run themourselves. We're not a listings site.

Who runs it?

Chihiro — Tokyo

Hi. I'm Chihiro, and I live in Tokyo. I run NOKA stay MIZUE and NOKA stay HIRAI, the two homes weown and manage ourselves. My family and I have rented homes like these as guests for years, bothbefore and after we had children. A week in a hotel is fine. Two

months is not. That's what I wantto give you.
